People have often told me that I should talk more about my support of charities. When I was growing up my mom always demonstrated how important it is to give back to the community. I watched her helping people who were less fortunate literally every day. That really made an impression on me - seeing how important that kind of support is and also seeing that diseases like breast cancer and AIDS can strike people from all walks of life.

During the offseason I’ve developed a relationship with Cold Stone Creamery to raise money for breast cancer research. Prevention of breast cancer, and support for women and families experiencing breast cancer, are important to me. I've experienced it first-hand.   I know how devastating breast cancer can be.

I've seen what my mom went through, and have felt the effects on our entire family as well. For our mothers, daughters, sisters, and all the women in our lives, we need to fight breast cancer and find a cure.

Waited 2 hours and didn't get to see you...I have MS, so it was a HOT wait...we got cut of just a few people from you...I was okay with that, but my 11 year old was very upset. She felt very let down and I explained that you had to drive to Flagstaff to get up early for training camp...she was still mad. Her dad hugged her when we got home and explained that you have to show up really early to this kind of event. Thanks for the invite and loved seeing your game live in Tampa! I'd never been to Florida and it was great! Best wishes for this season! FFF...and LLL,Live, Love, Laugh

Thanks

As one that has survived cancer, I appreciate your efforts in this cause. I know that it is personal for you and it really means a lot to so many of us for your effort in this worthwhile cause. Thank you.

Hey Larry,

I just wanted to say thanks for supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. and Cold Stone Creamery in their efforts to create early detection programs and provide mammograms for women in need. We had a great time and I look forward to working with in the future. Have a good one!
