The physical demands of training camp can be brutal. We are focused on having a great product on the field for the fans this year. It's hard at times, and they are really working us but I like the team camaraderie and just getting back with all of my teammates again. We have a lot of continuity from last year and we are focused on building on the successes from last year.
The fan support this year at training camp is overwhelming! We are so grateful for the new fans, and also for the returing fans who have supported us even in the leaner years.
The coaches want to get us ready physically and mentally not just for the firest few games, but for the entire season and playoffs. We've had a few coaching changes, but that hasn't change the regimen much. We have a new receivers coach, Coach McNulty, who I'm really enjoying working with. He's a great communicator and brings lots of experience to our team.
Our first game is against Pittsburgh. It’s preseason so it isn’t going to be a rematch but for the offense we’re just going to go out there and be sharp, be crisp with our play execution.
My roommates at camp this year are Anquan Boldin, Sean Morey and Jerheme Urban. We have a quad in one of the dorms.
My teammates and I are pretty much eating and sleeping football for three weeks. We train together, go to meetings together, practice together, eat together and then the coaches have us all do other recreational things like bowl and go to movies. We’re all pretty competitive with the bowling. Reggie Wells and Ralph Brown are pretty good bowlers. We have a linebacker named Pago Togafu who is really good and bowled over 230.
I am just having a great time getting back to practice and working with my teammates to be ready for the season. Stay tuned for more!

Larry's tweet
Posted by Rick R at 5:00 PM (9/5/09)I saw his tweet this morning on Twitter about the players cut from teams. I thought very highly of him before this but now? Not only do I truly believe he is the best receiver in football, I believe he is one of the best human beings in all pro sports. I honestly felt his concern for those players. The best to him for a great injury free season. One more thing, he has great company with Warner, another great human. I now love the Cardinals!!!
