Lots of people have sent in questions to my website and Twitter account asking about my training regimen. Being a professional athlete is my passion and I love it but it is also my job and requires a lot of work. I work at it every single day.

We have team practices and team meetings every day but Tuesdays. Tuesday is our day off. Basically we do a lot of drills, look at film, and lift weights. The day after a game guys get treatment for injuries from the game. You can see photos and once in a while articles about our team activities at the Arizona Cardinals website, azcardinals.com.

Then there are several things I do on my own during the season. The day after a game I run 4 – 6 half gassers, across the field and back, in under 16 seconds. I do this to get the lactic acid out of my legs. Usually I wear a sweat jacket to make sure I build up a good sweat. Then I hit the weight room and do three sets of squats and other leg exercises to get my legs back to normal.

Wednesdays I weight lift again, working on my legs. Thursdays I do hang cleans to work on explosive movements. And I hit the bench press. Every day but Tuesdays I also have a lot of work directed by our coaches.

As far as nutrition I try to eat healthy all week. On the day before a game I’ll usually have pasta and chicken. Before a game usually I’ll have pasta, eggs, and a chicken breast. During a game I might have an EAS Myoplex bar at halftime but otherwise I don’t consume anything but fluids during the game.

I like hearing your questions so keep sending them.

It was really funny hearing from someone whose child was going to be me for Halloween. When I was a kid dressing up for Halloween I would never have imagined that!

Thanks for the support, it means a lot.

I was at the Bears game Sunday. I am a die-hard Bears fan but since i wasborn and raised in Dubuque, Iowa (<2hours from Cedar Falls) I have always rooted for Kurt Warner. I wasnt too upset by your beatdown on my bears, but wasn GLAD to see you have a fantastic game as well as Kurt. Being disbaled since age three watching sports is the closest I can get to being on a team. I do keep stats for my old high school, (for frosh, soph and varsity) its a great way for me to volunteer and enjoy more football. Oneday i would love to meet you and maybe play catch. I guess being 33 i can still dream. GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE SEASON. Maybe i will be a lucky winner of an autographed football. God Bless you and your families.

I would love to win one of your signed footballs - you've been in my starting lineup since Day 1! Thanks too for all the work you do to bring awareness to breast cancer.

Hi Larry! First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I'm an Italian Cards fan since 1996 and I would thank you for all your job! For the first time Cards fans can be proud of their team...also here in Italy, where I wear your jersey every time I can!
Great day in Chicago, I hope you can repeat it also in Phoenix!
Best regards

Hey Fitz, you're awesome at everything. Except Lactic Acid is converted back to sugar within 10 minutes after it has been produced. The pain you feel is from broken muscle fibers.
Anyway, keep being awesome and beat the Seahawks!

Congratulations Larry

The level at which you and the team are playing is amazing. My question to you , do you think football players have turned to a healthier type of performance enhancement? I had a cousin who played for the Minnesota Vikings in the late 70-80s. Illegal drug use was widespread and lethal for so many. I hope the pendulum has swung the other way.
Kudos to you Larry and what you represent.
