It has been an honor and a privilege to be asked by the NFL to represent the league on this tour to visit with our men and women serving in the military. This is my third trip to visit the troops, and my first USO tour. I have an aunt and an uncle who have served in Iraq and on this trip ran into a cousin I hadn’t seen in a long time.

Camp 8/7/09
Posted by Denise Bugallo at 9:03 PM (8/14/09)Larry~ The 40 kids you signed autographs for at 8/7 Camp on field have 1 or 2 parents who have just deployed or just returned home. Thanks to you, Luis and the rest of the team for making it a day they'll never forget! I have pix of you with group if you're interested in posting.
God Bless and Good Luck this season!

visiting the troops
Posted by joseph guerra at 11:51 PM (9/28/09)Larry. My son and I are huge fans of yours because of your character on and off the field. You truly are a gentlemen! We rooted whole heartedly for you during the super bowl. 2 weeks after the super bowl my son left for boot camp and is currently stationed in S. Korea, not to mention he played many years of football including 4 years of high school football. Watching your interview on football night in America and seeing you on the USO tour bought tears to my eyes saying what you said and did for the troops. Football season just isn't the same having my son thousands of miles away, but having guys like you in the NFL makes a difference. Thank you for supporting our troops and being who you are!!!!

Posted by Steven Humphrey at 1:31 AM (1/4/10)I know you get this all the time, but I really want to say thank you for everything you do not only for the troops but everyone. I grew up in AZ and I have been in the Army for 12 years currently stationed in 49er Land but I still wear my Cardinal Red everywhere. Thanks again for doing what you do, you are a true role model that anyone would look up to. Take Care and be safe out there.
Thank you so much
Posted by Roy Daniel at 4:42 PM (1/12/10)Larry....I have been a huge fan of yours since your days at Pitt. Thank you for visiting the Marines in harms way. It means more to them than you will ever know. My office has Fitz stuff everywhere, so my Marines know the deal.
BTW, you look good in those Marine Corps desert cammies!
God bless,
Gunnery Sergeant Roy P. Daniel
