Earlier in the offseason I was able to do some travelling. The NFL invited me to take a trip to visit our troops. I was honored to visit our troops in Iraq and thank the men and women for their service to our country. It was my third trip to visit the troops, this time at the request of the NFL. I have an aunt and uncle who have completed tours of duty in Iraq.

After visiting the troops I was able to do some personal travel to Egypt, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and Morocco. The ancient ruins in Egypt are awesome. The offseason is so short but travelling really allows me to get away, relax, and recharge my batteries.

Last year I visited Turkey and toured some of the ancient sites there. I am always in awe when I visit sites that have impressive buildings that were built by people by hand centuries ago. I also really enjoy being in different cultures and meeting new and interesting people.

Next year I would like to go back to Africa to see the great migration in Tanzania and see the silverback gorillas in their natural habitat in the Congo.

You're a pretty cool guy. Very humble, intelligent, and of course, an on the field dynamo. Probably because you're MN born and bred.

Thank You

Thank you for your care and concern for the troops. My son has been deployed twice to Iraq and twice to Afgahnistan (sp?) and is a huge Cardinals fan. However, Thank you for beging different and being yourself. It is a blessing and tells me that not everyone in the pubolic eye believes all the hype about themselves.

The travelling is a gift. You have seen and will see more than most. I know it is not the same as on TV, nothing is better than seeing something "live." As a history buff I would love to see some of the places you have been. Someday, maybe. I would love to be able to take my son.

Anyway, good luck tomorrow night. Let's show the world -- it was no mistake!

You Are The Real Deal!

Larry: I have been following your career and being a woman who lives for Monday Night Football, you are truly an exception to the rule on and off the field. What you have done for our troops and for breast cancer awareness, you are a very sweet soul. Thank you for being an incredible role model.
