Larry Fitzgerald
Bike Tour Outside of Hanoi

Here is a new photo taken during a 40 mile bike tour outside of Hanoi.

So far I've been to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Hanoi. At each place I've had amazing tours from local guides who tell me about the history and cultures of the places I'm visiting. Later this week I'll be heading to the temples at Angkor Wat and the Khmer ruins.

I am sure it is great to go to places where there is a little peace and quiet! Where u can hear yourself think. The US does't have alot of places like that! Have fun!

I think your trip sounds incredible. There is a saying that loosely goes like this....you can't truly know yourself until you submerge yourself completely into a unknown or new culture. Looks like you are learning a lot!

How long is this trip going to last? Just got connected so forgive me if you've mentioned this already. You seem to be having a blast. Bring back a group souvenir for all the fans to see for those who followed you on your journey.

It's been so much fun to follow your trip through the east Asia. Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm a grad student studying U.S. history at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!!) and its been very to read about you visiting some of the places I study, especially Korea and Vietnam. You'll have to share what you've learned on your trip when you get the chance. Thank you for your great example and your constant encouragements. FFF

To see the world and experience different cultures is a blessing and helps one realize that while we have our differences, humanity has more in common than we think. You will have to go back and do Saigon. Or the Trans Siberian railway across We got on in Beijing and crossed Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, etc., ending up in Germany for World Cup, '06. Mind blowing.

I just wanted to let you know that I respect you a lot for the way you portray yourself and the image you give to elite athletes. I appreciate your travels, ideas, and overall the fact your a well rounded person. I feel that you could help teach younger rookies how to have a defined sense of culture in their lives. Much respect for living your life and inspiring others.

You are definitely living a dream Larry and very blessed to do so. I try to take a trip somewhere every two years or so--though the recession has been hating on me in more ways than one, so I don't think I'll be going international anytime soon. Be safe and soak up all the culture you can. I always come back from a trip with a different life perspective. I'm sure you do as well.

It must be great learning a little history about all those places you've been to. Have Fun on your trip Larry!!
